Yes, it's true! I seriously do that when I hear a song from Guitar Hero! I even start strumming with my right hand and pretend to push the buttons with my left! Nate, Gerber, and Jessica can all attest to this! I am officially a Guitar Hero addict. I suppose it's a good thing that I don't own an XBox or Wii at the current time (although I greatly desire so), but it's probably a good thing because I don't think I'd get a single thing done! I suppose I should go find myself a Guitar Hero Anonymous or something........................haha.

Ouch!
Have you ever experienced one of those injuries that was so stupid in its occurrence that you were ridiculously mad that it happened? Okay, so my latest stupid injury occurred yesterday while I was in the shower. I went to grab my razor (which sits upon a small shelf in the shower just below shoulder level) and I knocked it off, so it fell by my feet. I went to pick it up and completely smashed my head on the shelf, and all it took was the motion of reaching down to smack myself up! Now I have a goose egg on my forehead and it's still painful 24 hours later! Fortunately it's not HUGE, but I'm still ticked about it. I'm just praying a bruise doesn't show up! That's all I need, a giant purple smack mark on my head when I go to Vegas! Then I'll look back at my pictures and everyone will ask "What is that on your head?" and then I'll have to give the stupid explanation that is the truth. Maybe I need to come up with a better story about what happened.....................

Linkin Park Baby!!!
Okay, I'm sure you are all tired of hearing about me go on about Linkin Park, but bear with me because I've got more coming......LOL
I went to Linkin Park on Saturday night with my brother, Keegan, and it was AMAZING! I went and saw them 6 years ago when no one knew who the crap they were and the show was frickin awesome, but this recent show was beyond anything I could have wished to see!
Traffic and parking sucked majorly! I think from the point we hit the off ramp on the freeway to the point we actually were able to park spanned about an hour, and we only covered, distance wise, about a mile! Yeah, it blew. Although while we were stuck in traffic, we went past a car with a sign in the back passenger window with an arrow pointing to the driver that said "This guy loves men!" Keegan gave the car a thumbs up as we passed. The passengers were peeing their pants with laughter and the driver didn't have the slightest clue what was going on. Cheap entertainment! We eventually found a parking spot in a business complex (yea for free parking!!!) and sprinted to the E Center. We missed the first opening band, but we really could have cared less. In between bands, Verizon sponsored this text message thing where you could text a number and have your text show up on the big screens. My personal favorites were "Scream if you love sweet pickles!", "Mike Shinoda for president", and "CHUCK NORRIS!" Those got the best crowd reaction and were hilarious, of course.
We made it in time to see the other opening band, Coheed and Cambria, which we did want to see. I'm in love with these guys now! I'd only heard a song or two before we went and they were an incredible band to see play live. The lead guitarit's hair was absolutely unbelievable!
I don't even have to point out which guy I'm talking about! Haha! These guys were awesome and definitely got me warmed up for the guys I'd waited so LONG to see!!!!
Linkin Park opened with "What I've Done", which kind of surprised me because of how much it has been overplayed on the radio. After seeing it done live, I've completely forgiven the radio stations for overplaying it so much and my love of the song has been renewed yet again! After the first song, it just totally took off! They played a wicked combination of songs from all of their albums, of course I love them all! I screamed all of the songs and now it being 2 days later, I am still suffering from a raspy voice! I've also got the sore muscles to prove I rocked hard that night! They did 2 encores, which I loved. When they came out for their first encore, they played "In Between", which was the one song I was dying to hear that night. Woo hoo for dreams coming true! LOL. That song just makes me melt into a big pile of gooey love. That would be the girl side of me coming out. I took so many pics and vids on my cell @ the show, my phone is almost full! Here are a few......
Coheed and Cambria
Even with a dinky cell phone, you can see how he rocks out that hair!
Linkin Park was only 2 minutes from coming out. I think I was a little on the excited side.....
YEAH! LINKIN PARK! WOOOOOOOO!
Chester rocks my socks off, especially with no shirt on! *DROOL*
(This pic is now my wallpaper on my phone! Haha!)
Well, all in all, it was the most wicked cool show I've EVER been to! Now, how long until the come to town again? LOL

Princess in Heels
I was getting dressed this morning when I found Katelyn had stripped her pajamas off and had stolen my heels out of my closet. She was sprinting around the house in nothing more than a Pull Up and my heels teasing me with "Katelyn's shoes! Katelyn's shoes!" First of all, I was impressed that she could move around in them as quickly as she was! Second of all, I laughed at the fact that it seems all toddlers speak in first person. Hilarious. Third of all, I thought about the saying (of which I cannot recall the actual saying) about how little girls always want to be in mommy's heels. She is such a funny kid! Always trying to crack me up!

Catch Up
Most of you don't know what's going on in the life of Jen or only know part of the story. So, this is where I'm going to play catch up and get you all up to speed!
We'll start from about this point last year. Last March Josh and I moved from Bountiful to Idaho Falls because Josh had graduated from Weber and had recieved a job offer in IF. Go forward a few months and you'll find Josh asking me for a divorce. It didn't happen overnight, but he had changed and wasn't the man I married. In a nutshell, think of a gospel principle and he probably had stomped all over it like it was nothing, which in turn destroyed our marriage. We seperated towards the end of July last year. The divorce finalized in December and that was that! It was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through in my life, but I am through it and better for it. I'm back to being myself, good ol fun-loving Jen!
I'm still living in IF for right now. I don't have plans to move, unless something arises. So, we'll see! I have physical custody of Katelyn and have joint legal custody with Josh.
Katelyn is 2 years and 9 months. She'll be turning 3 at the end of April. Wow. Where does the time go? I seriously look at her and still have to sometimes pinch myself, to remind me she is real and that I am a MOM! There's nothing like a serious situation that snaps you back to reality. Last Friday Katelyn and I were trying to walk out the garage door to go over to Jess and Forrest's house, when Katelyn tripped over my foot. She smacked her face onto the tile and split her lip open on the inside of her lip.

The gash was huge! I bawled uncontrollably because I knew she was going to have to go and get stitches, which just broke my heart. I would have much rather have had the injury happen to me, because I'm sure it would have hurt us both less. I can handle the physical pain, but it just ate me up inside to see what she had to go through. That feeling inside, as crappy as it was, gave me the reality check to remind me that I am a mom and that I've always known it. Crazy how life hits you like that.

Mommy Superpowers
Guess what? I'm a superhero! If you are a mom, you are too. Not a mom yet? Ah well, your powers are just lying quiet until the day comes and then they'll emerge!
For example, Rachel has the amazing superpower of being able to keep Corbin quiet all while her husband is getting his night sleep after working the night shift. AMAZING!
I have the fantastic power to tolerate a movie or show being watched by Katelyn for weeks at a time (sometimes multiple times a day) and NOT have the urge to chuck it out the window. Now that, is supernatrual. I also have the amazing ability to type at lightning speed while holding a squirming 2-1/2 year old in my lap. Superman, eat your heart out.
So, what is your superpower? If your skill has yet to be revealed, what do you think it will be? Ah yes, everyone wonders how we do it. It's because we're secretly superheroes! Now the secret is out!

Watch out blogging world, here I come!
So, I've decided to enter the REAL world of blogging. MySpace is good and all, but I tend to be a nerd and blog about random things there. This is going to be a place where I talk about me and the fam, that mostly being me and Katelyn! I so need to get to bed now, but this was just more or less a starter for what is going to come!
Peace!
