It can't be! She's 4!!!

I can hardly believe it! My sweet little Katelyn turned 4 today! There's got to be something wrong with the world, I can't have a 4 year old! I'm not old enough to have one of those running around the house! She's supposed to be my tiny little baby! Oh goodnes, where does the time go?

We had quite the birthday weekend for Katelyn planned out. My mom, gramma, and sister Sami took Katelyn to the Discovery Gateway children's museum, Build-A-Bear, and out for lunch all day Saturday. Katelyn chose to build a monkey named Jasper and clothed him in a U of U t-shirt and hat. They all thought it would be funny to dress the monkey in BYU attire, just to see how Nate would react haha ;).

We then had Katelyn's birthday party Saturday evening. We were hoping to have it outdoors in our yard, but rain and wind prevented us from doing so, BUMMER! At the last minute we moved the party to Nate's parent's place, so there would be room for everyone. We had a Lilo and Stitch birthday party, per request of the birthday girl. Everyone dressed in their island gear and we had a great BBQ! I'll tell you what, though! It took quite the effort and the hunt around town to find a store that had a Lilo and Stitch birthday cake! Finally we found one at Albertson's and it was the last one they had! It's a good thing we love that kid...

Today was Katelyn's actual birthday, but she had a bit of a hard time understanding the difference between her birthday party and her "birthday". It was quite hilarious. All day we'd say "Today's your birthday!" and she'd say "But I already had my birthday!" Silly girl! She got to watch a couple of the movies she got for her birthday. We ended up going to dinner tonight to celebrate her birthday. We went with my dad, Melissa, Nate, and the kids. We asked Katelyn what she wanted for dinner and she requested macaroni and cheese and Jello. There's only one place in town that has both of those, Chuck-A-Rama (aka Up Chuck haha)! She was happy as a clam to have those things for dinner.

It really was a great weekend and I'm glad Katelyn had such a wonderful and memorable birthday! :D

Here are a few pics from her party...

I cannot believe that I have not seen her since she was a bitty baby! That is insane!

I'm sad that we missed it, but it looks like she had fun!

Interesting. My niece Tayler is ONLY 6 days older than Katelyn. That's really something to think about. Looks like she had a fun party.

What a doll. I know I'm feeling shocked myself that my oldest is turning four in a month. What's even freaking me out more is that my youngest is turning one this weekend, yikes. They can't grow up and we are way to young to have four year olds. What a cute birthday! You are such a good mom.

And who gave her permission to grow up this fast? Sure as heck wasn't me!!
