I'm a slacker!

I know, I haven't posted in a while! I was doing really good and then life caught up to me! I've been very busy with things and as I elaborate here in a minute, you will understand why!

Okay, for the most pressing issue at hand and the one that most of you know about.......I AM ENGAGED! Yes, it's true. This coming from the girl who said there was no way on this planet that she would get engaged or even married so soon after getting divorced. Well, TA DA! Funny things happen when you quit fighting the Spirit and start listening. It's amazing how much easier things became! My fiance's name is Nate. We actually went to high school together, dated on and off our junior year, and were best friends our senior year. Romantically we went our separate ways during high school, but have since found each other and can't wait to get married! We ordered my ring last week and I'm hoping it gets done soon! I can't wait for it! Now that the ring thing has been conquered, we are searching for a place for me to live and eventually Nate after we get married. It's proven itself a rather daunting task! I've never spent so much time looking for a place to live. Usually I've looked at 3 or so and made a choice. I don't even know how many we've looked at and we're still in limbo with the whole thing! Nuts. Anyway, I just hope that we find the perfect place soon, so we can move onto other things, like planning a wedding! I take that back, we are planning the wedding right now, but just can't focus as much attention to it, because we need to get me moved from IF back down to Utah. *SIGH* Off beat here a little bit, but I'm not terribly thrilled to be moving back to Utah. I thought I had escaped for good! But, for love you make sacrifices and this just happens to be one of them for me. Not to mention, we hope not to end up there forever!

Next item on the agenda is my trip to Las Vegas! Back on Easter weekend, I went to Vegas with Nate, his friend Doug, and Doug's girlfriend, Anna. We spent a couple days in St. George and a couple in Vegas. This slideshow has a bunch of the pics I took during the trip.......

The highlight of the trip for me was going to see The Amazing Johnathan. For those of you who don't know who he is, look him up on YouTube and watch a couple videos. He's HILARIOUS!!! He's a comedian/magician and I've loved him ever since I knew who he was. Nate and I got tickets to go see him. It was in a very intimate club setting, so we got to sit really close to the stage. He was SOOOOO funny and I loved every minute of it. After the show, I bought his book and he autographed it for me! I also got my picture taken with him (as seen in the slideshow) and Psychic Tanya. I was literally skipped out of the club because I was so excited, with Nate as a witness. I also got to see my friend, Todd, who is currently living in Vegas. I hadn't seen him in forever! It was good to see him again and catch up since the good ol days at Snow! We also spent one of our days in St. George with Sami. She had a blast with us as we went to the Arts Festival in town. She got her face painted and she was quite happy after that. Overall it was a great vacation and something I definitely needed outside of the normal trips to SLC.

We had a one of our traditional Conference weekend camping trips to Lava Hot Springs a couple weeks ago. We packed up all the motor homes and campers, and headed off. It's a good thing we had them, because tent camping was absolutely out of the question! We still had snow on the ground all over the place! Ah yes, welcome to Idaho! The land of the freezing! LOL. We watched conference, which had some really good talks. When we weren't watching conference, we were playing in the springs! Katelyn, of course, just loved going swimming as much as we did. I'm shocked she hasn't grown any gills, actually. I really need to get her into some swimming lessons this year! She'll have a ball with them!

Katelyn's going to be turning 3 here in a week and half. Geesh. Is she seriously that old? I can't hardly believe it. She's growing up so fast. Her verbal skills are getting better and better each day. I find myself less and less just nodding and agreeing with her jibberish, because it's coming out in English more! I'm thinking I want to get her a trike for her birthday. I remember having a trike at her age, so I think it would be really fun to get one for her. :)

Okay, anything else? Well, I think that is everything in a nutshell right now. I'm sure I've missed a ton, but hopefully things will slow down a TINY bit, so I can keep up more with my updates (in my dreams, right?).
